A growing number of cancer patients are surviving longer with decreasing rates of physical and psychological sequelae. Cancer survivors are at increased risk of functional impairments because of physical or mental illnesses and cancer treatment-related complications. They must deal with issues such as rehabilitation, coping with fatigue, and coping with cognitive impairment. Furthermore, cancer survivors’ spouses experience burden such as fatigue and decreased financial resources. This study explored the problem-solving skills of both cancer survivors and their spouses. The study used a descriptive qualitative design. Twenty-four cancer survivors and their spouses participated in group interviews, individual interviews, and written descriptions. The data were analyzed using the constant comparative method. Four dimensions emerged in the data: problem-solving knowledge and skills, problem-solving behavior, personal and social resources, and health and illness. Within these dimensions, three categories were found. Cancer survivors’ problem-solving skills were categorized as insight, self-efficacy, and coping. Spouses’ problem-solving skills were categorized as self-esteem, support, and problem-solving behavior. Spouses provided insight, encouragement, and support for cancer survivors. Both cancer survivors and spouses used maladaptive problem-solving skills. The findings highlight the need for nurses to identify problem-solving skills in both cancer survivors and spouses. Robot Structural Analysis Professional is designed to help owners and engineers of industrial machinery to analyze the stress generated at every joint of a robot and to see, in a graphic way, the state of the robot. It is designed on the basis of the STRACON formulas of the ISO 5985-2 standard, which are implemented in the Analysis 2000 software and that allows them to be analyzed and interpreted graphically.
This product comprises the following modules:
• Robot analysis;
• The analysis of the robot position and orientation;
• Bearing analysis;
• The analysis of the robot joints;
• Robot control.
The Robot Analysis module calculates the parameters of the joints of the robot, estimates the stresses and strain generated at each joint, and determines the forces and torques necessary to maintain the robot operational. This module is completely automatic and runs the calculation without the intervention of the user. The user can simply choose to open the program when he/she wants to make any analysis.
The analysis can be done on an external robot frame.
The analysis is carried out from three different viewpoints:
The robot is seen in its normal position;
The robot is seen in its zenith position;
The robot is seen in its normal position, but with reduced speed, for the analysis of the dynamic properties of the robot.
