lastFMp3Getr is a simple application designed to automatically download the mp3s of songs most recently listened to by a last.fm user that the artist has chosen to be publicly download-able.

The lastFMp3Getr application will download to your machine the best mp3s from the artist/album/songs you just listened to. The MP3s downloaded are copied into a folder called lastFMp3Getr.

The lastFMp3Getr application is supported by Album only. If you’re a regular last.fm user you’ll notice that on some of your last.fm profile pages you’ll see Download links to tracks from artists you follow. This is called an ‘LTP’ and its use of unmodified MP3 files to play the music are called “LTPs”

Last.fm’s music streams are most commonly used through their client programs such as “listen now”, “marblebox”, “playlist”, or a web browser.
The listen now client has a rudimentary method of letting a user download MP3s of a set of songs, as well as a more full-featured client called marblebox.
Marblebox has a feature similar to last.fm’s, but it also lets a user download a selected list of artists’ songs (this feature is not present in the listen now client).
Through this application, a user can automatically download the mp3s of all songs from an artist that the user has recently listened to.

This application is written in Java and uses the Java based
“last.fm-api” to perform requests and display information.

If you use last.fm, or if you are a developer or API provider,
it is recommended that you contact last.fm and ask to have your mp3s
added to this collection. Please note that it may take a few months
for your music to be added, so I apologize in advance.

This application may contain a limited number of songs that are downloaded,
based on the artist’s preference.

There are some features that are a work in progress, as I’m still
fairly new to programming. Some of the missing features include:

– display artist’s birth month and day
– most played songs
– radio link
– playlist link

I’m also open to suggestions as to what features would be useful,
or where I should add more features.

The incidence of myocardial infarction (MI) has changed in Mexico over time. In order to determine the pattern of MI incidence and its trend in the population of Mexico City, a prospective survey was carried out for seven years (1995-2001). This survey evaluated all patients in whom MI was diagnosed at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. Five thousand five hundred and five cases were identified. The percentage of men was 60% and the mean age was 58 years. ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) represented 40% of the total, other types of MI (non-STEMI) represented 32% and unstable angina (UA) 43%. The incidence was higher in men, in the age group 50-64 years, in those living in the western and southern areas, in patients with history of hypertension and hyperlipidemia and in patients with three or more risk factors. The highest incidence rates were registered in 1995 (279/100,000) and 1996 (288/100,000). The lowest incidence was recorded in 2000 (190/100,000). Between 2000 and 2001 the incidence increased (201/100,000), while the percentage of STEMI decreased (39.4%) and unstable angina increased (54.9%). There were no cases of non-STEMI. The mean age and the frequency of males increased. The incidence of MI remained stable or decreased. In 2000 there was an increase of the incidence of UA and a decrease of the incidence of STEMI.
