Start Service without a background activity
How can I start a service without a background activity? I want to run it every 2 minutes. I only want it to run once and then stop. Is there a way to do this? The docs seem to suggest doing this from an activity.. But I want to be able to start the service from code and not have to have an activity running or be active at all. I don’t need the service to hold a connection to the internet either (not sure if that makes a difference).
I can’t use startservice() from code because it has the default value of startForeground() which results in my service being inactive.

If you just want to run it once and then stop it, why don’t you use AlarmManager? It won’t require an Activity, Service or BroadcastReceiver for that matter. You simply set an AlarmManager and it will execute the code at a specific time.

PostgreSQL function using order by doesn’t work
I have a problem with my function.
