BV IMaGe ConVeRter is a fantastic application, written in C/C++ which can
be used to convert JPG to BMP or BMP to JPG.
On Windows, JPG files can be renamed very easily. But for you, if you have
to create a new JPG file from an existing JPG file, then you have to use a
other application, such as “GIMP”. BV IMaGe ConVeRter application can
perform an “automatic” batch conversion from one JPG file to another JPG
file in which you can specify the new JPG filename easily.
The application runs in two modes:
– Conversion mode: when you give a JPG file name with its ending extension
“_.jpg” for conversion into a BMP file name with its ending extension
“_.bmp”.
– Reducing mode: when you give a JPG file name with its ending extension
“_.jpg” for reduction by removing the oldest two frames from the JPG file
in order to keep the maximum JPG file size.
Notice: When you reduce a JPG file into a BMP file, the graphics of the
remaining frames become black, thus you do not lose the graphics in the
frames deleted from the original JPG file.
IMaGe ConVeRter just needs two files as inputs; each of the inputs needs to
be a JPG file name with its ending extension “_.jpg”, one of them (as an
input) is renamed and the other one is converted into a new BMP file.
IMaGe ConVeRter can reduce JPG files with a maximum of 10 frames using a
maximum width of 1500 pixels and a maximum height of 1000 pixels.
IMaGe ConVeRter is compatible with all versions of Windows(from Windows
95 to Windows Vista).
IMaGe ConVeRter should be run with a command line interface only. You
should not choose the “Run” menu item from BV IMaGe ConVeRter
application.
